Happy new year! It is now 2017 and I'm so excited for what new Mountain Dew products will be released.

As of now, all we know of what PepsiCo will release later in the year is White Label, Green Label, the two Spiked flavors, and the new Mango Lime Kickstart. In Canada, all we know at the moment is that Spiked will be named Extra, and will have the same two flavors that we will get here. 

UPDATE 3/4/17: The new Kickstarts were released in January, and White Label was released this month.

UPDATE 3/30/17: All 4 new flavors have been officially released.

Now I do have predictions that I think will be possibly true, some good and bad. Let's start with the bad topic first, artificial sweeteners in all PepsiCo beverages. It's disappointing that we had to deal with this in the 2016 Game Fuel promotion, which I thought they made Citrus Cherry, one of my all time favorite flavors, taste like literal rubber. Mango Heat did not live up to the expectations I was hoping for. It wasn't one of my favorite flavors ever, and definitely not the best Game Fuel. White Label and Kickstart Mango Lime is confirmed to contain the same artificial sweeteners, and probably the next can flavors too. It will also be sad that if they make the permanent flavors like Code Red and Pitch Black contain those sweeteners. The products with the new background on all regular and diet Mountain Dew's will not contain artificial sweeteners and will still contain the normal amount of High Fructose Corn Syrup (and will hopefully stay that way).

Now this is what good things could happen this year. Another DEWmocracy would be great, where certain people could try different flavors, and then 3 finalists could be selected and given out nationwide in stores. People then vote online using social media, or vote directly on the Mountain Dew website, just like DEWcision 2016. Speaking of DEWcision, a 2017 version would be great. The two losing DEWmocracy flavors, Supernova and Typhoon, would be great ideas of having them battle it out to stay permanent. Other flavors I'd like to see would be Dark Berry, Solar Flare (doubt it), Revolution, Distortion, and maybe old Game Fuels. The winner of FanDEWmonium, Diet Supernova, was short lived. Another promotion like that which involves several flavors, diet or not, would be awesome.

Mostly every year they release a summer flavor or promotion. A forth Baja Blast release in bottles and cans would be ridiculous, but I would accept it. Just make it without artificial sweeteners and it'll be fine. A Solar Flare release in stores would be THE BEST THING EVER, since that was taken away from so many 7-Elevens last year. Any of the promotions above would fit in the summer as well. Typhoon would also fit this category.

Now about the fall Game Fuel promotion. The disappointment of last years promotion may have sparked a trend that will not stop, the inclusion of artificial sweeteners. If that continues I will stop drinking any Game Fuel's, maybe just try them once but that's it. I asked on Reddit if anyone has ideas of what the new Game Fuel would be.
